The Crown Inn

The original Crown Inn dated back to the 17th century, but was burned down in the 1970's and rebuilt.

Playfair states that when licensees moved in during the 1970's, poltergeist-like phenomena were reported. This included the radio switching on and items would go missing and then reappear some time later.

Audible effects included the sounds of bottles "clinking in the bar" at night.
